SCHEDULING YOUR SESSION 

Newborn sessions are best if scheduled within the first 14 days (max 21). Within the first 7-10 days is ideal for a nice sleepy baby, so make sure to contact us as soon as you can after your little one is born. Sessions are the morning between 10am and 2pm. Evenings are not ideal for newborns because they tend to be more awake and are more likely to cluster feed.

I am very thankful for the permission to publish your pictures on social media and I provide a discount for the photo sessions with this permission (discounted price in brackets). All publications are without any names, tags or personal information.

EACH ADDITIONAL FULLY EDITED DIGITAL PICTURE COST IS £10 OR 5 FOR £40

£20 NON REFUNDABLE RETAINER REQUIRED IN ORDER TO SECURE YOUR BOOKING. THIS WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM YOUR FINAL ORDER.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE 

• If you are nursing avoid spicy foods and caffeine for 24 hours prior to your session. Your little one's belly is getting used to your milk and this will hopefully avoid any gas or stomach issues.
• Try to keep your baby awake for one hour prior to our session. I know this is hard, but do your best - this will help ensure a very sleepy baby for our session. 
• Dress your baby in loose fitting clothing that zips or buttons up the middle so if they arrive sleeping we can undress him/her easily without waking. Avoid oneness or clothing that will have to go over baby’s head. 
• Feed your baby right before leaving for the studio. Even if it is not a regular feeding time offer them a feeding. A full sleepy baby is always best. 

WHAT TO BRING

• If you are formula feeding or pumping make sure to bring extra milk and a bottle 
• A pacifier for soothing 
• Special items you would like photographed with your baby 

PARENT AND SIBLING PORTRAITS 

Parent and sibling shots are typically taken first. Family shots are taken on a black, white or tan backdrop. We recommend wearing solid neutral colours, especially grey, white, tan or cream. Older siblings can wear a light coloured shirt to match the gender of the baby, solid neutral colours, jeans and/or dresses for girls. Try to avoid busy patterns and graphics. 

**Keeping the studio quiet and calm is crucial to achieving the best shots of your baby. Once the sibling shots are complete, we highly recommend that a spouse/partner take siblings home or out for something fun while we finish up.

SESSION LENGTH & DETAILS 

For a Full Newborn Session plan on your session being around 3-4 hours. The younger the baby the less likely chance we will need all 3 hours, but we still recommend it to avoid any stress. Also, the studio is kept at a very warm during the session. This keeps baby warm and sleepy. You also may want to bring more comfortable clothing to change into after the family portraits are complete.

PROPS

Upon scheduling we will discuss colours, props and ideas you have. I have blankets, baskets, hats, headbands, wraps, and many more props. If you have specific items you would like photographed, you are welcome to bring them to your session. 

If you follow the above instructions on preparing your baby we will mostly likely have a successful shoot. But remember, we are at the mercy of your precious little one, so do not be overwhelmed if your baby is cranky or will not “cooperate.” We will still get many amazing photos that you will cherish for a lifetime. 

Pre-Session Questionnaire 

To better prepare for your session I have a few questions for you to answer. Please fill out the Newborn Session Questionnaire below prior to our session.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Photo session deposit of £20.00 is due upon booking and is non-refundable if session cancelled less than 24 hours before scheduled session time *.
• This fee secures your session booking and the current pricing structure. 
• If your deposit is not paid your session is NOT booked and your time slot can be passed to other client.
• The remaining balance is due upon your photo session date by cash

CANCELATION

~ In the event of an illness or misadventure, please call as soon as possible to reschedule. Mama Photography maintains the right to reschedule at any time should it become necessary but will do our upmost to negotiate a mutual acceptable rebooking. The request must be made no later than 24 hours prior to your scheduled booking.

If you are late more than 30min the session will be cancelled and deposit will be not refunded.

ELECTRONIC DEVICES

~Cameras, phone cameras, and video are permitted during any session UPON APPROVAL by Mama Photography.

RAW IMAGES

~ Mama Photography does not deliver images that have not been edited to the highest professional standard and to the style of the portfolio.

PAYMENT

~ Mama Photography will not start any gallery retouching/editing on finalised images until all payments have been finalised. Full payment of your chosen package must be paid before or on the day of session.

DIGITAL IMAGES

~ Once your gallery has been issued, selection of images must be finalised within 7 days. Mama Photography will provide you with assistance if required in choosing your images.

COOPERATION 

~ Mama Photography is not responsible if the client and/or key individuals fail to appear or cooperate during their session. This includes hair/makeup/clothing choices/appearance, having a poor attitude, or the behavior of children.

The gallery editing time is 3 weeks.

MODEL RELEASE/COPYRIGHT:

• Mama Photography retains the copyright on all images and reserves the right to use the images for advertising, display, publication, social media and/or other purposes for our portfolio (if you give permission in your booking form). The client signing this contract warrants that he or she has actual authority to agree to the use of the likeness of all persons included in the portrait in this manner and shall indemnify and defend the photographer in the event of litigation arising out of such use. Digital files and previews remain the exclusive property of Mama Photography. Under no circumstances, can a client use these images for profit, commercial endeavours, professional display, or in competition. Copying, snap shotting, saving or scanning images from the clients gallery, Mama Photography website, or social media sites is considered stealing, regardless of the intent for use. If client steals images via any method listed above, or any other method, client will be invoiced for the cost of EACH digital image client has stolen, at photographer’s current price per digital file. 
• SHARING images and links on the web from its main source is highly acceptable and encouraged to show family and friends your beautiful images.
•  Your photo session images will be deleted from Mama Photography devices within 4 months from the date of you receiving the download links. Mama Photography does not accept liability for any loss of digital images by clients choosing confidential photo session after that period.

Liability:

• The client is aware if they choose to print their images through a personal chosen lab that the quality of the end result print of the digital files delivered is not under the control of the photographer, and frees Mama Photography from any liability for any potential claims whatsoever based upon discolouration in the end result.

• If Mama Photography cannot fulfil this contract due to fire or other causality, or beyond the control of the photographer, or due to the photographer’s illness or emergency, then the photographer shall return any deposit or sitting fee to the client but shall have no further liability with respect to the contract. This limitation on liability shall also apply if the event of photographic materials is damaged without fault on the photographer. The client releases any and all employees of Mama Photography from all liabilities, claims and damages that may result from any accidents or incidents that could have been prevented that may happen during the session.
• Mama Photography is not responsible for any injuries inflicted upon any participating parties. Client(s) will be responsible for their children and for themselves and release photographer from any claims against their person or their business. 

By signing this contract, you are agreeing not to copy, save, or reproduce images from proof gallery, includes copying and saving images from website, social media, or any there form of advertisement.
